Dr. Sharon Fried Buchalter

Dr. Sharon Fried Buchalter is a Distinguished Clinical Psychologist, Life Coach, Public Speaker, Hypnotherapist, Advice Columnist, and award-winning Author, as well as an Entrepreneur and Inventor. She has extensive experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist, which is her current primary practice, as well as prior experience has a Clinical Social Worker, Corporate Coach, Training and Development Manager, and Career Counselor. Having worked with a wide range of people ranging from celebrities, CEOs of major corporations, to inner city teenage parents, she has helped people from all over the world, to increase happiness, and success in their professional and personal lives.



Dr. Sharon Fried Dr. Sharon Fried Buchalter's mission is to educate, enlighten, and empower individuals, parents and families to become successful and happy. Though her core expertise is with children and parents, Dr. Sharon also sees individuals who seek success by optimizing the positive and minimizing the stress.  

Dr. Sharon’ s current primary occupation is a Distinguished Clinical Psychologist, but has previously practiced as a life coach, public speaker, hypnotherapist, and author. She has previously worked as a therapist, clinical social worker, corporate training and development manager, and career counselor. In these diverse capacities, she has worked with people from all walks of life, ranging from inner-city teenage parents to CEOs of major corporations.

In addition to her therapy and counseling work, Dr. Sharon has also been a successful advice columnist for national and local newspapers. Dr. Sharon's co-hosted a radio show, People Connections Radio, which aired between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. for WBZT AM 1230, West Palm Beach, FL.

Dr. Sharon holds a Master's in Business Administration from Bernard Baruch College, a Master's in Social Work from New York University, and Master's and Doctorate degrees in counseling from Columbia University. She has received the highest accreditation as a board-certified diplomate-fellow in advanced child and adolescent psychology, marital and family relations, psychoeducational assessment, hypnotherapy and clinical psychology. Licensed Clinical Psychologist in practice since 1996, with a PhD from Columbia University, specializing in children, adolescents, and adults, with a solution based approach, as a Certified Rapid Resolution Therapist. Dr. Sharon also has basic and advanced training in Clinical Hypnotherapy and is a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists, as well as, a Board Certified Diplomate. Throughout her career, Dr. Sharon has also developed and implemented a wide range of workshops ranging from family leadership, new parent survival skills, to life skills training for teens and college students. As well as, management training profiles of successful people, stress management, mindfulness and solutions for a healthy centered life.

Licensed Clinical social worker with a Masters of Social Work from New York University. Assessed, diagnosed and counseled clients on the outpatient psychiatric and alcoholism unit. Provided crisis intervention, short-term psychotherapy and supportive counseling with adults, adolescents and families. 
Alongside her Masters of Business Administration, Dr. Sharon has worked as a career counselor and manager with an extensive background in corporate coaching, training and management development. Dr. Sharon worked in a medical center with a staff of 5,000 employees. She developed and implemented management training programs to enhance skills in methods of motivation, counseling problem employees, communication skills and leadership styles.
